GOALS
To create and nurture an open and non-threatening learning environment where students can feel safe. An environment fosters questions and discussions that allows students to learn from each other's successes and mistakes.
To establish and allow them to express their expectations of me as the teacher and of each other as peers in the classroom, it includes establishing clear ethical standards for the class.
To develop active, problem-based learning activities that connect new material to what the students already know in contexts that make them understand and relate from their past experience.
To seek out new methods and techniques for my teaching to adapt the challenges of different classrooms, diverse and non-traditional students, with the new teaching and learning technologies.
