L/A Reading

1st Semester Project

23 August 2013

Dear Parents,

Good day

The Grade Six student’s first semester project is to make a “Reading Skill Book” that will help them widen their horizon and enhance their reading comprehension skills.

This first project focuses on the reading skills like: A) Noting Details   B) Getting the General Significance of a Selection   C) Predicting the Outcome of a Given Event and Making Inferences.

In the class, the students were taught about the basic reading skills and as a result the students will write a selection or story related to the events and to their experiences. After each selection, the students will formulate question that will cultivate and enrich the vocabulary and level of understanding. The output of this project will be published in our school library to serve as reading materials and resources for other students in the future. With this, kindly extend some help and supervision to your child, the deadline for submission is on the last day of October or first week of November.

Truly yours,

Mr. James
